You might have noticed that recently our old forum got all messed up with spams.

Basically we have been using a 3rd party spam protection service which has been protecting our board from the spam bots. But suddenly without any notice that service got discontinued and that allowed the spam bots to get our forums filled with spam posts.

The spamming went on so badly that it went on pretty hard for us to clean them up. The spam bots registered over 75,000 nicks!

So we decided to throw out the old garbage and make a fresh new start.

If you had an account registered with the old board, you will have to registered with the new board again. We are really sorry for any inconvenience caused.

yah things will surely get changed.

usually we create our own templates/styles for everything we use. but we had to make a very quick move here. throwing away the spams were more important than anything. so we had to make a sudden move.

it will take me some time to learn the new phpbb3 hooks... so lets see how long it takes...

Bro, buzz me if you need any help. I used to browse the old forum on almost regular basis. It would feel great if I can be of any help.

I was wondering if I can fill in the sections with topics. Or do you wanna do that after the new structure is established completely?

filling up the forum with topics will be a great help.

btw... by "stracture" are you referring the design or the way sections have been organized?

for the design.. that wont affect the content... so please go ahead and start with postings.
if you were referring the organization of sections, do you have any suggestions to improve it?

and i am again sorry that we decided to delete the old database instead of converting it. it was filled with too much spams which became almost impossible to clean up.

even if we decide to make a move to PunBB/FluxBB or Vbulletin, InshaAllah we will be able to keep the posts/user accounts intact (convert).
